Software Installation

The Kasper Group provides a software installation service that will take the guess work out of setting up your database site such as Content Management System (Joomla, Mambo, CMS Made Simple, Drupal), or Blogs (Wordpress, TextPattern), eCommerce stores (ProductCart, CubeCart, X-Cart), etc. in a short time that fits your budget.

Here's what you get:

Download the software of your choice. We will make sure it's the latest version including any updates or patches if so required.
Upload the software to your server/host.
Setup database for software.
Run setup and configure the server/database settings and install sample data tables.
After successful installation, we will apply any updates or patches.
Optional: Install any add-ons you desire.
Test software to make sure it is functioning properly.

We can also do software upgrade. If you have an older version of a software that need to be updated either for security reasons or just to get the newest features or both, we can take the headache out making the transition for you.

Here's what we will do:

Backup the current site which includes all the files and the database for safe keeping. Should the upgrade ever fail, we can then revert back to your original copy of the site.
Download the new updated version of the software including any patches.
Upload the software to your server/host.
Run installation update. (Some may require complete new install and multiple upgrades. See note below.)
Run database migration (if required).
Make any configuration changes if so required by the new software.
After successful installation, we will apply any patches.
Optional: Apply any add-ons you desire. (Some older add-ons may no longer function with the newer version. If this is the case, there will be no attempt to install the add-on unless a new version has been developed that is compatible with the new software.)
Test. Test. Test.

Please note that some software require certain steps to upgrade from older version to the new one. So if, for example, your version is 1.0 and the new version is 3.0, some will require upgrading to 2.0 first and before you can upgrade to the 3.0 version. In any case, rest assure that we will take the necessary steps to follow the software's upgrade documentations.

If The Kasper Group finds that the software being installed does not meet the software agreement or does not have a software license, The Kasper Group will not install the software. Otherwise, The Kasper Group will not be liable for any copyright/licensing and in which we are not responsible if any claims are made against the client. At the client's request we will remove the software from the domain that was originally installed on by us free of charge.
