- Can you create some sample designs for my web site before I sign up for a contract?
Please see our portfolio of work to see what we can offer you. We don’t do test designs or spec work.
- How long will it take to create my web site?
It depends on a lot of things; the answer is different for each site. The size, content, graphics and images, if these are provided or we have to create them, and any other advanced features you may want added (forms, shopping carts etc.).
- Do you test the web site on multiple browsers?
Yes, we test them on Internet Explorer, FireFox, Netscape, Opera and a few others which covers about 95% of the market. A small percentage (less than 1%) of users have older versions which may or may not render the site perfectly along with a number of other variables such as screen resolution, etc. We make every effort to make sure you site validates to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
- Do you price by the hour or by the job?
We generally price by the job. If you decide later to add more pages, then we will price by the page. In some instances, it would make more sense for the client, to price by the hour if the job is smaller than creating a whole web site or a complete page.
- If you develop my web site, who will maintain the site and edit any future changes?
That decision is up to you, we offer an annual maintenance contract which we will maintain your web site and edit any changes for you. If you decide to add new pages to your web site that would be an additional cost outside of the maintenance contract with us. Or, you can maintain and make future edits yourself.
- I don’t have a domain name for my web site; can you help me acquire one?
Yes, we will do some research and come up with several suggestions for you. Once you agree on one domain name, we will obtain it for you. This will be charged at an hourly rate plus the cost of the domain name and E-mail package if you desire it. Your can register the domain name yourself which is easy do and saves you money. Go to the Domain Search page, enter your domain choice and see the results at the end of the page.
- Do you offer hosting of my web site?
Yes, we do. This will be a different contract outside of your maintenance or web site contract. You can easily select a web hosting package yourself . Just go to our Hosting Plans page and choose a hosting package that is right for you.
- How do I decide on a theme or style for my home page and web site?
We will sit down with you in a meeting or have a conference call with you to discuss your logo, your colors and content that you would like to use. We may need to throw ideas back and forth usually through E-mails until we come up with the best theme and style and marketing direction that would represent you best.
- Do you offer Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Yes, and this is very important for marketing your site. Over 70% of all consumers search on the Internet for products and services. SEO is most effective in advertising and marketing. Together we will come up with a list of keywords to use so that your web site will be come up frequently.
- I don’t have a logo, can you design one for me to use on my web site and all of my marketing materials like business cards and brochures?
Yes, we will design a logo that will be unique for your business. Your professionally designed logo will be in a press ready format so you can use it for any of your marketing materials. We also offer designing of business cards, brochures or any other marketing materials that you may need for your business.
